Y-Fork Glass Electrode — Modern Replacement Enquiry
There is something beautifully direct about the fork: a long stem meeting a broad sweep of glass, with nothing added for decoration. It has the same appeal as the old electrical cabinet, where the shape of an attachment was part of the idea.

The shape, the fascination
There is something beautifully direct about the fork: a long stem meeting a broad sweep of glass, with nothing added for decoration. It has the same appeal as the old electrical cabinet, where the shape of an attachment was part of the idea.
A modern form with its own identity
The shallow curved crossbar makes this a modern Y-fork form. It is not the historical double-eye electrode: that has a transverse bracket and two separate small cups, a different construction and purpose in its period catalogue.
The details that draw the eye
The broad sweep makes a lovely counterpoint to the long handle section. Seen beside the round faces, narrow points and combs, it helps explain why attachment collections are so absorbing: the whole silhouette changes with a single piece of shaped glass. This enquiry concerns the modern fork design, with its own identity, rather than borrowing the provenance or catalogue name of a vintage twin-eye attachment.
Finding the right piece
Send the maker and model of your apparatus, a clear photograph of the handpiece socket and the attachment you are replacing. We will discuss the exact example, connector, dimensions and availability individually. A matching name or glow colour does not establish a fit.
