There is a particular charm to this Holo-Electro. The cream suitcase and patterned lining soften the first impression, then the low brown control unit and substantial dark handpiece bring the electrical character into focus. Closed, it has the look of travelling luggage; open, it becomes something much more curious.
I like that meeting of familiar domestic materials and unfamiliar apparatus. The fabric, the colour of the case and the dark fittings give this one a different atmosphere from the glossy black sets. It is the sort of object that makes you lean closer before you have even begun to work out the arrangement.
