Warm colours, purposeful details
This Holo-Electron has a wonderfully grounded appearance. The brown central-dial face and beige-brown case make a quiet setting for the small red connector, which draws the eye straight towards the apparatus. It becomes more interesting the longer you spend with it: first the case, then the panel, then the handpiece and surrounding fittings.
One of the pleasures of collecting violet rays is discovering how much character can sit within a familiar format. A fitted case, a generator, a wand and glass can be arranged in so many ways. Here the warmth of the faceplate and pale case gives the whole set a particularly pleasing balance.
