HOLO-ELECTRON PARIS – ORIGINAL VIOLET RAY HIGH-FREQUENCY SET
⚙️ OVERVIEW
Offered here is a genuine HOLO-ELECTRON Paris Violet Ray, a highly respected French-manufactured Tesla-era high-frequency instrument, restored and operating exactly as intended.
This is a proper analogue machine — no modern circuitry, no digital smoothing — just coils, resonance, plasma and control. The output on this example is strong, stable, and exceptionally responsive, with a smooth transition from low through to very high intensity.
Holo-Electron units are known for their clarity of discharge and depth of field, and this one does not disappoint.
🛠️ CONDITION, RESTORATION & PERFORMANCE
✔️ Fully restored and electrically checked
✔️ Strong violet plasma across full adjustment range
✔️ Smooth analogue control with no dead spots
✔️ Dual-voltage selector: 80V / 200V
✔️ Original Holo-Electron wand handle
✔️ Clean ozone presence (correct and authentic)
✔️ Quiet, confident operation
✔️ Stable under sustained running
This is not an untested attic piece.
It is a working historical instrument, tuned and proven.
🔮 ELECTRODE SET – UNUSUAL & HIGHLY DESIRABLE
This set includes a particularly interesting and uncommon selection of electrodes, including:
• Large multi-node mushroom electrode
• Classic comb / rake electrode
• Focused point and curved applicators
• Spoon-style and targeted glass forms
• Highly reflective internal filament electrode — visually striking and extremely reactive under power
Several of these electrodes display complex internal structures that interact beautifully with the plasma field, producing vivid, dynamic discharge patterns rarely seen on standard sets.
All electrodes seat correctly, glow evenly, and are in excellent condition for age.
📦 INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING

🔧 RESTORATION, SERVICING & PART-EXCHANGE
I specialise exclusively in vintage Violet Ray and Tesla-era high-frequency instruments.
Part-exchange considered.
Museum-grade restorations available.
Please note: many Violet Rays listed online are unrestored and unsafe to power.
This example has been properly stabilised, tested, and proven.
💎 FINAL WORD
A serious Holo-Electron Paris Violet Ray — powerful, unusual, and increasingly difficult to find complete and working at this level.

The dark face behind the spark
I love the contrast in this Holo-Electron: the warmth of the orange-brown case against that dark, purposeful control panel. The central dial gives the little apparatus a wonderfully concentrated presence. Open the lid and the glass takes over, with curves, chambers and unfamiliar shapes inviting a slower look.
These are the details that keep me interested in violet rays. The fitted case, original wand and individual glass forms belong together as an object, as much as they belong together electrically. There is a great deal of care in that arrangement, and it is a pleasure to see it survive.
The restoration and controls
My restoration notes record electrical checks, a strong violet discharge across the adjustment range and smooth analogue control without dead spots. The voltage selector is described as 80 V / 200 V. The original Holo-Electron wand remains with the set, alongside its power lead and fitted case.
I have listed the condition as Used – good. The attraction for me is the relationship between that simple central control and the much more elaborate glass around it: a restrained instrument with a wonderfully varied collection of fittings.
Glass worth lingering over
The electrode selection includes a large multi-node mushroom, comb or rake, focused point and curved applicators, spoon-style forms and a striking reflective internal-filament electrode. Some of the internal structures are fascinating even before the apparatus is illuminated. The gallery lets you spend time with those individual shapes and the way they sit within the case.
The Holo-Electron Paris generator, original wand, pictured glass set, fitted case and power lead accompany this example. If this is the one that catches your eye, enquire here and I can talk you through the set and arrange a closer demonstration.
Condition: Used – good.
