⚡ Custom Multi-Wave Oscillator (MWO) Violet Ray Electrode – Hand Built Experimental Spiral Disk ⚡
This listing is for a custom built Multi-Wave Oscillator (MWO) style electrode designed for use with traditional Violet Ray high-frequency devices.
Each electrode is individually handcrafted and built to order, allowing a high degree of customisation depending on the geometry, materials, and experimental configuration desired.
These are not mass-produced items. Every unit is carefully assembled, tested, and finished by hand.
The Violet Ray System
Violet Ray instruments were originally developed in the early 1900s as high-frequency electro-therapeutic devices, influenced by the pioneering electrical work of figures such as Nikola Tesla and early electro-medical researchers.
These machines generate a very high voltage but extremely low current oscillating electrical field, producing the characteristic violet plasma glow within the electrode.
When operating, the system creates several interesting physical effects:
⚡ High-frequency electromagnetic field generation
⚡ Visible plasma discharge within the electrode
⚡ Localised ozone formation from atmospheric ionisation
⚡ Gentle surface ionisation where the field interacts with the skin
The Multi-Wave Oscillator (MWO) Disk
The MWO electrode design expands on traditional Violet Ray electrodes.
Where standard electrodes focus the energy into a single arc or point discharge, the MWO disk uses a spiral geometry based on Fibonacci / Golden Ratio proportions.
This spiral distributes the high-frequency field across the entire disk rather than concentrating it at one point.
In simple terms:
• The energy is spread across the surface
• The plasma field becomes broader and more stable
• The interaction tends to feel smoother and more balanced compared to sharp point electrodes
When high-frequency current enters the spiral disk it oscillates along the spiral pathways, creating multiple interacting wave paths rather than a single discharge channel.
Experimental Internal Structures
Some custom builds can also include internal conductive pathways before the field reaches the disk surface.
Depending on the design requested this may include:
• Copper spiral conductors
• Resonant pathways
• Mineral or crystal structures
• Harmonic geometry arrangements
These internal elements influence how the high-frequency field propagates through the electrode before reaching the surface disk.
Highly Customisable Builds
One of the most exciting aspects of these electrodes is that they can be customised extensively.
Build variations may include:
• Different spiral geometries
• Alternative disk diameters
• Copper spiral configurations
• Mineral or crystal integration
• Multi-layer field structures
• Alternative housing materials
• Special experimental coil additions
If you have a specific concept, geometry, or experimental idea, custom builds can often be produced to suit.
Handmade & Built to Order
Each electrode is constructed individually after purchase.
Because of the hand-built nature of these items, along with curing times for certain materials and occasional sourcing of specialised components, please allow up to one week before dispatch.
A Unique Intersection of Science & Experimentation

Geometry you can hold. A conversation with the experimental fringe.
The spiral has a way of drawing the eye inward. These hand-built MWO-style spiral-disk electrodes bring that fascination into a physical accessory, made individually for discussion with a compatible traditional violet ray apparatus. The geometry is part of their visual appeal and the starting point for the experimenter’s curiosity.
I like objects that make someone pause and ask how an idea became a shape. Here, the source description connects the spiral arrangements with Fibonacci and golden-ratio design ideas. That gives the work a particular experimental character, while the exact materials, dimensions and connection remain individual choices to agree.
A design language of rings and spirals
MWO-style names a design influence in this listing; it does not make a spiral-disk attachment a complete historical Multi-Wave Oscillator. The appeal of the piece is the hand-built interpretation itself: a deliberate arrangement of form, connection and material that sits within the wider world of frequency experimentation.
The object is worth looking at slowly. Follow the geometry and consider how an accessory changes the appearance and arrangement of a bench. For a collector drawn to the stranger corners of electrical design, that relationship between an idea and a carefully made physical object can be as compelling as the main instrument.
An individual conversation before a build
Each piece is assembled and finished by hand. Tell us which apparatus you own, and discuss the proposed geometry, materials, connection and dimensions. The actual compatibility is agreed individually, rather than assumed from the resemblance between two instruments.
These are experimental accessories, with a place in the creative side of the cabinet. Enquire about the exact piece pictured or the design you have in mind. A good custom object begins with a clear conversation about the machine it will accompany and the form you want the experiment to take.
