⚡️ CHECK MY OTHER LISTINGS! ⚡️ 🙏 HAVE AN OLD DEVICE? PART EXCHANGES ARE WELCOME ON ALL OF MY LISTINGS 🙏 FREQUENTE – THE BENTLEY OF THE VIOLET RAY WORLD German Tesla-Era Violet Ray Apparatus | Extensive Electrode Collection | Intermediary Buffer Unit | Original Keys Up for grabs is one of the most impressive violet ray devices I have had the pleasure of restoring and testing. This is no domestic starter kit or modern plastic imitation. This is a magnificent full-size German FREQUENTE apparatus from the true Tesla era of high-frequency experimentation, presented in a striking black-and-gold crocodile-effect fitted case with deep purple velvet lining, a substantial generator, heavy-duty wand and exceptional collection of specialist electrodes. It even retains its original removable velvet protective cover and a matching set of two original keys for the case. An absolute relic. In simple terms: this is the Bentley of the violet ray world. The weight, fittings, plasma glow, generator hum and unmistakable crackle all have presence. If you know, you know. ⚡️ 🌟 WHY THIS DEVICE IS SO SPECIAL Unlike simpler machines, this FREQUENTE includes a separate intermediary box positioned between the mains supply and the primary high-voltage unit. This appears to act as a period mains-conditioning / interference-buffer stage — an unusual upper-tier feature rarely seen on smaller domestic machines. The adjustable control dial allows the output to be introduced gently and increased gradually. 🧰 EXTENSIVE ELECTRODE COLLECTION The fitted case contains a remarkable variety of attachments: ✔️ Mushroom-style and coloured plasma electrodes ✔️ Spiral glass electrode ✔️ Brush and fork-style attachments ✔️ Curved, angled and long-form electrodes ✔️ Metal-contact and indirect-contact accessories ✔️ Precision electrodes ✔️ Heavy-duty wand ✔️ Additional specialist fittings as pictured Electrodes create different effects depending on gas composition, glass thickness and current pathway. Some glow warm orange-red; others vivid violet-blue. Please study the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description. 🛠️ CONDITION & INCLUSIONS ✔️ Carefully restored and tested prior to sale ✔️ Genuine vintage FREQUENTE generator ✔️ Separate intermediary buffer unit ✔️ Adjustable output control ✔️ Heavy-duty wand ✔️ Extensive electrode collection ✔️ Black-and-gold crocodile-effect fitted case ✔️ Deep purple velvet interior ✔️ Original removable velvet protective cover ✔️ Two original keys for the case ✔️ Strong, stable and responsive output ✔️ Modern UK plug fitted ✔️ Photographs form part of the description The case shows age-related wear and character consistent with a genuine vintage apparatus. In my opinion, this only adds to its presence. Own a true statement piece from the golden age of high-frequency experimentation. A complete electrical artefact.

Black, gold, purple velvet: a substantial apparatus with a ceremonial presence.

The earlier Frequente record has the presence of a serious cabinet piece. Its black-and-gold crocodile-effect case, purple velvet and removable protective cover give the apparatus a sense of ceremony, while the substantial generator and wand keep the visual weight firmly on the equipment. The two original case keys are a particularly pleasing surviving detail within that carefully enclosed world.

To me, keys change the way a fitted case is perceived. They remind us that the contents were meant to be gathered, protected and kept as an ensemble. Alongside the extensive specialist electrode collection, they help make this Frequente feel like a complete material setting for an electrical idea, with attention paid to both machinery and presentation.

The layers around the machinery

The removable velvet cover adds another layer to the recorded arrangement. It sits within a presentation already rich in texture, giving the collector more to examine than a bare instrument panel. The cover, case and keys form the outer story, while the generator, wand and specialist attachments supply the mechanical and glassworking character of the set.

The original description also records a separate intermediary box between the mains supply and primary unit. Its precise function was left for direct discussion. That unresolved identification belongs honestly within the record. The additional box is an interesting feature to investigate, rather than an excuse to assign a dramatic purpose that the available description does not establish.

An ensemble worth studying slowly

This is an apparatus that rewards looking across the whole arrangement before isolating one component. The substantial main equipment, the collection of delicate forms and the decorative enclosure each change how the others are seen. I find that combination especially compelling: robust electrical machinery presented within a case whose finish gives it the dignity of a prized personal possession.

The ARC hive preserves this earlier portrait and its useful unresolved details together. A separate relisted entry follows the current catalogue trail. Here the purpose is to keep the individual set legible: its protective layers, its surviving keys, its specialist collection and the additional box that invites a closer, properly grounded conversation about how this particular apparatus was arranged.

A substantial Frequente in a black-and-gold crocodile-effect case with purple velvet and original keys.

This set retains its removable velvet protective cover and two case keys. A separate intermediary box sits between the mains supply and primary unit; its precise function should be discussed as part of the enquiry. The substantial generator, wand and extensive specialist electrode collection give this apparatus particular collector interest.

This is an ARC hive record, not a statement of current stock. This apparatus has a separate relisted entry in the current catalogue.
